Organizations depend on up-to-date data summaries to guide their work, but preparing such reports manually is tedious. External services for developing standardized reports are expensive and difficult to customize. This module teaches participants open-source approaches to designing their own data-driven reports – from printable documents to interactive web-based reports – that can be automatically updated and re-published with one click.
- In Session 1, participants will learn how to write beautiful web-ready and PDF reports using Markdown, then weave R code into their reports using RMarkdown.
- In Session 2, users will learned advanced techniques for flexible and elegant reports, such as interactive menus and beautiful tables.
- In Session 3, users will explore strategies for making reports update using a single-click or automatically update at regular intervals.
